Hello, I Love Charts fans!! This is Jeff Wysaski from Pleated-Jeans reporting for guest blogging duty. As an enthusiastic chartographer, I’m super honored to have several of my charts featured in the upcoming I Love Charts book.
Today, I’ll be sharing a few of my own charts (including the one above), as well as some new and classic ones from other talented chartists. Trust me, it’s going to be awesome. So, enough chit-chat…let’s do this!
Poorly Drawn Lines is one of my all-time favorite web comics. He makes a lot of great chart-themed jokes. This “What’s in the McRib” chart is a prime example.
I made this chart after reading an article that informed me that sitting more than six hours a day was effectively killing me. I immediately flipped out and started eating lunch standing up (which I still do pretty frequently). However, that only brings my daily sit time down to about 23 hours.
Anyway, learning this fact made me wonder what other things were lowering my lifespan.
Explanations and sources for each fact can be found here: http://bit.ly/IAPhpl
…and yes, you read that right…NOT drinking alcohol (in moderation) supposedly reduces lifespan.
Here’s another PJs classic. Those of you already familiar with my work will know I have a long history of taking very informative charts/graphics and altering them to the point of pure uselessness.
The Doghouse Diaries is another favorite web comic of mine. This is their latest charty goodness.
This is perhaps my favorite flowchart of all time. I wish I knew who made it. via
Alright guys, my whirlwind stint as guest blogger for I Love Charts has come to an end (I know…I know…please don’t cry). It’s just about dinner time, so I’ll leave you with this series of How to Eat Food images that I made a few months back.
If you like these images and the other stuff I posted today, then feel free to:
Now…back into the uncharted territory I go. Thanks for having me!
