Hi ny name is Nico and I’m the creator of the webcomic Endless Origami and I’m also featured in I Love Charts: The Book, what strange coincidence. Jason thought it would be fun If I ran the blog for the day, while I’m tempted to make him regret that decision entirely I will try my best to post some fun stuff for you guys :)
I’ve always wondered, since our voices usually sound way better in our head, what Morgan Freeman’s voice sounds like in his head. Is it possible that it sounds even cooler?
Here’s a really interesting photo, an intern from Facebook wanted to examine the locality of friendships, pulling some data from Facebook he created this image. What’s incredible is that lines don’t represent coasts or rivers or political borders, but real human relationships. Each line is a friendship between two people, and with enough information these friendships give us a surprisingly accurate map of the world, minus Russia, apparently Facebook isn’t too big over there.
Kind of a cool way to look at things
I haven’t even read the books and I get this.
If you’re curious where you stand you can take the test here. Pretty interesting stuff.
This is Nico from Endless Origami signing off as Chartist in Residence for the day. Thanks for having me :)
I leave you with one last philosophical chart.
