From the archives, the Full Gadget Ratio

LESSONS LEARNED ABOUT THE INTERNET:

  • If you give people a joke that includes math, people will try to solve said math.
  • If you give people a joke about math and don’t check your math, all the comments back to you will be sure to point out your fallacy.
  • If you give people a chart and a joke about math and don’t check your math, nobody will appreciate how much time you put into making the pretty chart.

When I originally posted this chart it had a slightly different equation, but it was pointed out that there were some logical issues. Those have been fixed, due largely in part to the help of a rather lengthy proof (found here).
