Hi guys. Just wanted to let you and your readers know about the Data Viz Challenge (datavizchallenge.org). We started the challenge to encourage Americans to use and learn more about data visualization, via a really nice data set maintained by whatwepayfor.com that breaks down how our federal income taxes are spent. The challenge has $10,000 in prizes and is open to US residents. We’d particularly like to encourage programmers / developers to participate since the data has a well-developed API.
